Spring in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex means gorgeous flowers popping up all over the region. Here are 3 of the best spots to catch spring’s stunning blooms.
-
Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens: (February 24 – April 8) The annual Dallas Blooms festival is one of the largest floral festivals in the southwest, with over 100 varieties of spring bulbs and 500,000 blooms! This year’s theme is “A World of Flowers” and each week a different region of the world will be featured.
-
Ennis Bluebonnet Trails: (April 1-30) Ennis is the Official Bluebonnet City of Texas, showcasing over 40 miles of mapped driving Bluebonnet Trails sponsored by the Ennis Garden Club. Thousands of visitors from all over Texas will travel to Ennis to explore the trails. Bluebonnets are natural to this area, so they will appear in different parts of the trail each year, making each year special and unique.
-
Texas Tulips: (late February – late March) This unique venue is a little piece of The Netherlands in North Texas. Each spring there are 90 varieties of tulips to choose from. With baskets provided on site, you pick the flowers you want to take home and enjoy. Pricing is $2.50/stem (tulip flowers will be wrapped in pretty paper and stems will be put in flower gel).
