Are You Advertising Your Listings on Facebook Marketplace?

I came across an ad on Facebook sporting another real estate coach and the various ways they advise their clients. This particular coach may just get my business because they suggested something that I hadn't even considered: Facebook Marketplace for advertising my listings!

How could this be? I've familiarized myself with every possible way to market my client's homes for sale. But I guess there's a first time for every thing.

Advanced Home Search

Now mind you, we've used Facebook advertising for awhile now. It works well, if you tweak it right, and focus on what works instead of trying to own the world with every ad campaign. And I've also used Facebook Marketplace. We have used it mainly for personal reasons, like selling used exercise equipment or whatever. But for a listing?

So I tried it......

I advertised my listing on Facebook marketplace..... and wouldn't you know, I received an inquiry on the listing, through the Facebook Marketplace ad, in about two hours! That's fantastic!

I may be overly excited about this one inquiry. It could have been by complete chance that I got that quick of a response, but in this business I will explore any advantage I can muster up. I'm going to continue to use it for now, simply because it just showed that it can work.

But I am very interested to hear back from my ActiveRain community and see how many of you have used or not used Facebook Marketplace? If you have used it, do you like it, or do you have any complaints?

I do advt marketplace but mostly rental listings. I have received inquiries but nothing has converted.  I think this will suppress Craigslist years from now.

Facebook Marketplace? I never tried it, however I did boost posts and advertise in regular FB pages, not with much luck

I would say facebook marketing is a must in this age.  You have a very wide market at your disposal.  In addition, you can advertise at a very cheap rate as opposed to traditional mediums.  Better yet, users located in the US can be very targetted in the audience they wish to see a particular property or properties in a particular category.  Just one caveat, do not make all your posts about properties. Mix it up with inspirational posts and practical/resourceful information.  Those new to this can take a look at our facebook page here:

I've certainly heard about Facebook Marketplace but haven't use it yet. Glad to here you got an inquiry - that's impressive that quickly and perhap it will become something more. Will be interested to hear what others say.

Thank you for sharing your experience with FB Marketplace.  I know people who use it to buy other things but never considered it for real estate.  I am off now to check it out.

I have used Facebook Market place to buy a bicycle and search for cell phones...Did not know you could advertise real estate on it.
