This February I sold a sweet little home to a sweet single lady. Although it was "bittersweet", it made me feel so good.
Let me briefly tell our story:
Two years ago this sweet single lady called me after she had tried to sell her home herself for several months. In the meantime, she kept seeing my yard signs come and go in the neighborhood, as my listings "sold" quickly.
When she called me she told me she wanted to sell her home and move in with her boyfriend who lived about two hours away.
She was in love!
And she was so happy when I sold her home within days.
The moving truck came, and off she went, high hopes for her future.
Fast forward to last summer:
This sweet single lady called me out of the blue and said in a dejected way:
"It's not working out, I want to come back."
She wanted to come back into the same neighborhood, essentially into the same type of house in a similar location. That's not so easy. Even though I got several listings during the next few months in this neighborhood, they weren't "right."
AND THEN THE RIGHT ONE CAME ON THE MARKET:
Even better, it was my listing. I had pretty much targeted several homes that I felt were right for her. One she missed out on because her "mum" in England became so ill and she couldn't respond right away.
But when this one came up, well, it was JUST RIGHT. And we got it closed.
Valentine's Day, even "bittersweet" came for my sweet single lady on February 13, 2018.
