The Village of Island Park, NY will be benefiting from a $25,000 grant that the The Town of Hempstead has received from Nassau County. There will be 90 to 100 new trees being planted in Island Park and Barnum Island this spring.

Island Park and Barnum Island suffered a massive loss of trees during superstorm Sandy in 2012. Now, these trees will be replaced, making positive economic changes in Island Park and Barnum Island. Click here to read the original article on Newsday.
