A Daily Reminder Life is Precious Enjoy It!

Home Builder with Sitterle Homes

Two weeks ago tomorrow evening, I was on my way home from work when I saw a big back up on the freeway and flashing lights and sirens. There is really no other way home for me to but to get on the freeway. I will say the Fort Bend Sheriff had everything under control and traffic was flowing pretty good. However, what I saw was pretty somber, it was a small car that had hit a cement sign it was overturned and on fire. The small car was smashed in half, I knew no one had survived. I told Bob about the incident, a few days later on my way to work I saw family members decorating the site with wreaths, a cross and flowers. It really broke my heart! I see it everyday on my way to work and I choose it to be a reminder to enjoy each day as one never knows when it will be our last day on earth and to make the most of life. Life is precious enjoy it!

Good morning Yolanda.  It's hard to see the carnage that happens on our highways when people are in too much of a hurry or distracted.

It's so heartbreaking, we got word last night from our son and his wife. Their young babysitter's fiance fell into a tree well during a big powder day at the ski area - and died. We felt terrible for the families. One never knows - enjoy every drop of this very fleeting time we have together on earth.

Wreaths and flowers are things I see throughout my day on the roads.  We have so much traffic and too many accidents.  People drive like crazy, and it's not worth it.  Those wreaths and flowers are reminders to me to stay on the defensive and pay attention.

Yolanda- I agree with you. We have to cherish every moment that we're given. It truly is sobering to see that these things can happen to anyone at any time.

I see those memorials on the sides of roads more often than I would like, Yolanda. And when I pass by an accident like this it always sends shivers down my spine.
