Sometimes Customer Service is a Paper Rose

 

It's often the little things that make a difference.  Lunch was at Denny's in Paris today.  We had a different waitor than we've had before.  We ordered our food but he returned shortly to inform me that they were out of spinach and could not prepare what I had ordered.  I adjusted quickly and told him what I wanted to replace it with but with an adjustment, leave the grilled potatoes off.  He offered to bring broccoli to replace the potatoes which was perfect. 

 

In a few minutes he returned with a salt shaker that had the lid removed (converted into a small vase) and a paper sandwich wrapper  fashioned  into the shape of a rose that he was just finishing up as he came to the table. 

 

The food was cooked perfect and the paper rose was a very nice apology for not having spinach...  Denny's in Paris is an excellent diner if you're that way and want some good food, good service, and little extra touch of "class".
