Four Utah Cities Included In Money Magazine's 100 Best Places To Live In America!
In partnership with realtor.com, Money Magazine has identified the top 100 places in the country offering a great mix of economic opportunity, affordable homes and a high quality of life with a sense of community and access to amenities. Four Utah Cities ranked in the list: Orem placing 14th, Sandy landed the 52nd spot, Lehi grabbed 74th and North Salt Lake making it at the 96th.
Orem made the top 15th for being safe, affordable and friendly: low crime rates, easy commute, relatively modest home prices and property taxes, as well as investing in amenties catering to children like a brand-new water playground. You'll also find plenty of scenic views and outdoor activities here with attractions like the 17-mile Murdock Canal Trail and the 44-acre Mount Timpanogos Park, thanks to Orem's location between Utah Lake to the west and the regal Wasatch Mountains to the east.
Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live were narrowed down from 2,400 areas with populations between 10,000 and 100,000 and do not have more than double the national crime risk, less than 85% of its state’s median household income, or a lack of ethnic diversity. A collection of 170,000 different data points with a focus on economic health, cost of living factors and public school performance helped determine the 100 places making up the list.
