I Have Sock Problems
You’re probably thinking the issue is about unmatched pairs…one getting lost in the dryer as they do…or holes in the heels or toes, or no clean socks to wear.
That’s not it at all.
I have a large collection of colorful socks that started about 5 years ago with gifts from my older daughter at Christmas, and the collection has grown, year by year.
Some are somewhat understated, while others are quite colorful, adding an intriguing contrast to jeans or dress slacks.
So here are my Sock Problems.
My wife was doing some Human Resources consulting for a well-known ad agency in San Diego a few years ago. One of the 3 principles recently started a company called Sock Problems.
Sock Problems is a clever, San Diego-based company founded in 2017 that raises money for various organizations supporting a range charitable causes.
For example:
#SockInequality, #SockProstateCancer, #SockAutism, #SockBreastCancer, #SockRacism, #SockClimateChange
A percentage of revenue from every sock sold, 25% up to 50%, is provided to the charity partners supporting these causes, including the Movember Foundation (men’s health), The Rodney King Organization, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC), and San Diego Freedom Dogs (service dogs for wounded military).
Currently there are 10 different socks, and causes, each priced at $20. And shipping is free with 3 pairs or more!
