Island City Opera presents La Sonnambula by Vincenzo Bellini on Friday, March 9 and Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 pm at the Alameda Elks Lodge at 2255 Santa Clara Avenue.  Pre-opera lecture at 1:00 pm. Tickets are $40 at the door.  For information please call 263-8060 or


The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public on Saturday, March 10,  and Tuesday, March 13 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine.  All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices.  So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables, and flowers.  The market is on Haight Avenue at Webster Street and is open rain or shine.


Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, March 10, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot in front of Petco.

Pitch Perfect, the Musical on Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 pm, presented by the Alameda High School drama department performed at Frederick L. Chacon Little Theater at the corner of Central Avenue and Walnut Street.  Tickets are $10 for students, $15 general admission at the door. Please go to for more information.
