I am in need of some help.

Does anyone have some type of data base set up to track customers and or potential customers?I have my Home Gauge files for clients I have worked for but would like some kind of database on my laptop for a quick reference guide. If anyone has something like this how do you categorize the name and information you have stored their?I am looking for something that can be used for residential, environmental and commercial inspections and consultations as well as to help me keep track of people that have called for quotes but did not use my service. Please let me say thank you in advance for any information or guidance you may share with me.

The reason for this is I am about to go through a company name change and I want to be able to transfer as much information as possible as easily as possible. I know I will have to hand enter some data but am hoping to not have to do it all.

Mark:  Based on what you are saying you want to do with a database, Microsoft Outlook should work for you.  Most people already have that on their computers so you don't have to go out and buy a seperate program.  You can also use Outlook for scheduling and scheduling tasks, etc.  You can even make a plan for follow-up with the database.  I hope this helps.

I use Outlook as well, and though it is not real customizable, it works adequately for me.
