Speechless Sundays - Is it Time for Vacation Yet?

 

Florence, Italy - This photo was taken from Piazzale Michelangelo Square when Ray & I spent a couple of weeks in France & Italy. This was one of my favorite views - breathtaking, panoramic views of Florence, Italy. Piazzale Michelangelo Square is located in the historic district of Oltrarno across the Arno River (from the center of Florence). This is a very 'walkable' area in the city and the views are simply spectacular...as is the food!

It's been about 15 months since our last vacation and we are chomping at the bit to head to warm weather soon!

Hi Sheila Anderson! I think that is one of my favorite views that we had there - it was just such a gorgeous countryside but, this view was simply breathtaking!

Thank you, Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD! We did this trip alone and really had a great time exploring on our own. I know that sounds bizarre but, when you 'explore,' you tend to take in more! 

This upcoming vacation, we are going with 4 other couples and we have all agreed that we will feel perfectly comfortable saying we will catch up with the crew later in the day if we want to take a little discovery tour ourselves! I'm looking forward to seeing how that works! LOL

We do tours here for newcomers and there's something about finding diamonds in the rough on vacation for me.

Me too, Brian England! It truly was one of the most beautiful places we've been - and it just never seemed to end (the views)! I'm definitely ready to go back!

Oh, lucky girl, George Souto! It was a bucket list trip that I'm glad we crossed off sooner rather than later! The hills were a bit steep and we're still young enough to take that challenge! LOL

Sis:  You have me chuckling.   I totally understand the need and wanting for a vacation, Debe Maxwell, CRS.  Believe me.  But having a sis from Charlotte (what I consider a southern city and climate) yearning for WARM weather elsewhere ... well, again I'm just chuckling. 

Of course I'm writing that as my area of Chicagoland is once again receiving snow.   Brrrrrrrr ......

Oh, does that make we want to go back to Italy. Florence was spectacular both times we visited, but of course there are so many other wonderful places - all of Tuscany, Milan, Portofino, Venice, Verona, Rome! I have yet to visit the Amalfi coast and that's on the list. Sounds like you are pretty excited about your trip!

 We love Italy, I do not know if I have mentioned to you Bob proposed to me in Rome, and we have not gone to Florence but are itching to go. Great pic thanks for sharing!
