I normally do not get involved with tv shows and definitely not what I call "kids" shows but I started watching American Idol and I absolutely love to listen to David Cook. I would buy his CD's in a heartbeat where David Archaleta (sp?) is extremely popular with the young girls but I really don't believe he will sell his music the way Cook can. I couldn't believe how the judges were so hard on Cook and let Arch... breeze right through. I was shocked when Simon was all about Arch... because in the talk and radio shows he has talked about how he wanted Cook to win. I don't know what happened but I wasn't happy with the judges this evening. Please check out my website at: www.xsellsteam.com

I think David Cook won't really need American Idol- I mentioned to a fellow activerainer that somehow, someway, they should have David Cook remake Billie Jean. I agree about Archuletta- so talented and cute but his type of music may not take off so easily.

Tammy, I think David Cook will be successful, whether he wins or not. I think "little David" is great, but not what I enjoy, although he was awesome tonight, wasn't he? Too funny, that we are even talking about this, isn't it? lol...

While both are very talented...I think David Cook is the Americal Idol I'll be voting for this season...Arch has a few years ahead of him to earn those same stripes...we'll see what the country thinks tomorrow night :)

Tammy - I didn't get to watch tonight. I think that Archuletta is very talented but needs time to mature; David Cook is the real deal now. It will be interesting how the public votes.

I was soooo angry at Simon for basically giving Archuletta such kudos - it's up to the voters and while the kid certainly has talent, I wouldn't buy a CD from him. David Cook is the deal!!! I just hope it doesn't end up like when Chris Daughtry got voted out - he's been way more successful than the winner that year (who was it?)

If Archuletta wins.....they just don't get the kid, they have to take his DAD too. Too young, immature, and personally, I don't like his style.

We have continually voted for Cook tonight (my 4 teenagers and I) but I still believe Arch .... will take it because of the young girls. I feel stupid even talking about American Idol but if it really is about talent and finding the next American Idol then Cook has to take it home. He is an Entertainer - I could already buy his CD's and go to his concerts where Arch... can sing but he is totally not my type of entertainer. I agree about having to take his dad too but I wonder how much of that is hype for the show or for real.
