You are correct. FHA has always been the correct product for many consumers; however, many consumers were sold into products that did not fit their need simply because their mortgage consultant did not have HUD certification. Although the credit crisis is painful for many consumers, the regulation needed is now being enforced.
Consumers need to ensure they are working with a HUD approved FHA / VA Full Eagle Lender like Southeast Mortgage. Even if the consumer does not need an FHA loan, the Full Eagle is the toughest certification to obtain and will ensure the client is working with a high quality lender following prudent lending practices.
Southeast Mortgage has two GAR certified instructors to help Realtors better understand FHA and other mortgage products.
