Blogging with a 3 Yr Old's Help

Last Tuesday, we drove to McAlester and met our daughter-in-law to pick up our grandson, Denver, for a few days.  We have been thoroughly enjoying him and he has been a part of just about everything we've done this week.

I had forgotten what 3 yr olds are like.  He has so much energy!  "DenDen" has discovered verbal language in a large way and is so hungry for knowledge. "What's that? What's that? What's that?".

Denver has an ongoing running dialogue in play, just like Facebook, it's a constant "status update".  Whatever you say will be repeated back.  That can be good or bad depending...

I have a new revisited admiration for mommies of toddlers, especially mommies that have an outside-the-home career.  Working from home can be challenging also since just blogging requires that you get your mind on what you are going to write and focus.

Chassy has watched Denver some of the time this week when I had showing appointments.

Denver and I have made Oatmeal Cookies (He has a chair to stand on to help me cook), Fudge Chocolate Cake with Fudge Frosting (This child can eat twice as much Fudge Cake as he can anything else on his plate), played music on the keyboard, put letter and number puzzles together, finger painted, make mega-block barns for his horses, gone to the park, tried out every iPad App there is for  3 yr old toddlers, worked in the yard, colored and drawn, told stories, had bubble baths, sorted the silverware from the dishwasher, checked out the pond's fish, watched Pappaw on the skid steer clear out some bamboo, gathered eggs, fed the dogs, worked on the computer, shown a few houses, visited with some clients in the office, reorganized some drawers, and a zillion other things..

I love my family, and so enjoy them.  I enjoy the grandbabies and great grandbabies especially because they are so much fun when they are still classified as children.  I promise they will  help keep you young.  Getting my 10,000 steps in yesterday was a breeze!  Blogging now, that's a different story.  Right now, he is taking a nap so I grabbed the opportunity, and what did I write about?????   :)

Good afternoon Judi - God bless kids.  The keep us young.  Sometimes it helps to see through the eyes of a child.

Hi Judi,
It's hard to imagine that WE had that kind of energy at one point in life too, isn't it?  LOL  They are fun and so inquisitive.

It is something to spend time with little ones like Denver and see the world from a different point of view.  Livens things up.

Judi, I was almost tired reading your post.  Three year olds can be exhausting, but so fun to watch them grow up!
