The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch
Beautiful Fields on a Gorgeous Spring Day
It was time for a much needed break, and some outdoor time, yesterday afternoon, so my wife and I took off to check out the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch.
I’m not sure if they were at their peak yesterday…on a gorgeous sunny day…but the 50 acres of brightly colored Ranunculas were spectacular, and the crowds were out, too.
While walking through the fields or taking a tractor ride gets you close to this floral beauty, my favorite vantage point is along Armada Drive, at the top of the hill looking down on the fields, and the ocean beyond. And it’s free. Yesterday the parking spaces along the road were all taken with others taking in the beautiful views.
The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch have been a popular tourist attraction for more than 6 decades, and offer a wide range of events during the week and on weekends.
The Carlsbad Flower Fields are open until Mother’s Day May 13th. If you are in the area, they are worth checking out, up close in person or up on the hill!
You can purchase tickets on the Flower Fields website.
