Day 2 of 90; Becoming the best Realtor®. This morning came very early, 3AM. I had slept 6 hours which is what I need. I took time this morning to go over my schedule yesterday and to assess all that happened. The schedule I set, is not the schedule of what I did. In the lives of agents, things change with a phone call, an email, a rejection. All started well after completing my morning rituals of meditation, reading, writing and exercise, I got right into the prospecting. In a matter of half an hour I had 4 appointments set when 2 is the goal.
I got an email from one of the coaches I am interviewing to assist me filled with information that was useful and the name of a client of this coaches to call. That West coast agent has become very successful with this coach and this give me a reference point. The other finalist coach did not respond to my email regarding her discussion with her coach
about our working together. This, in itself, should be a disqualification, but it is not yet. Making snap emotional decisions is not the path to success.
My appointment set yesterday turned out not to be an opportunity for me. The agent is a friend of the Seller and he told me his agent just forgot to correct the listing. I asked if he wondered if the agent had forgotten other things as well? I got an email from an attorney working for a FSBO I had called who was setting up meetings. She doesn't want to pay a commission. I explained that perhaps my buyers, if they liked the house, would consider paying the commission. Her lawyer said I had to sign paperwork to that effect and get my buyers to sign the same document. Some lawyers have no clue how this works. I am on to Day 2 of 90; Becoming the best Realtor®.
