I got an early morning call from the lawyer at my title company to say that after months of paper-work , emails, calling and nail-biting the reverse mortgage short sale on a house we have had under contract was not going to be approved.
A few hours later a contract on a condo that seemed a lock, fell apart when the agent contacted me saying the buyers had a change of heart and could they get a release.
To cap it off an out of state buyer who I have been nurturing for 8 months texted me to say he had finally found his dream vacation home and was flying in. Could I contact the listing agent. No problem I thought, the house had been on the market over 300 days and I’m sure the other agent would be as excited as I was. I called and the house had just gone under contract the day before….
So I did what I knew was the only thing that works. Went home, laced up my Hoka’s and went out for a slow jog. Tomorrow was going to be a better day…….
