TopGolf just broke ground on a new building in Myrtle Beach SC. This will be a new type of Golf Game. The 55,000 sq ft facility that will allow visitors a chance to play golf, enjoy food, beverages and music.
Players use microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and how far their shots traveled on a television screen from within their hitting bay.
The press release says the Myrtle Beach venue will feature 1,975 square feet of private event space for corporate and social gatherings and 72 climate-controlled hitting bays that can host up to six players at a time.
While this is not traditional Golfing Myrtle Beach SC is the Golf Capital of The US and TopGolf could involve a new group of players.The location is expected to host nearly 300,000 visitors in its first year of business.
TopGolf will be 3 levels and is opening in 2019 on the corner of 29th Avenue and Robert Grissom Parkway. TopGolf says it will bring 350 jobs to the Myrtle Beach area.
