Using Active Rain To Boost Your Business

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Beckner Mobile Notary

If you're out of sight, you're out of mind for most people in our busy world. They'll call you when they need you... if they remember. I hate when I was in the loan business and a friend I hadn't seen in a while would tell me about the new house they bought. I would love to have been their loan agent.

However, one of the biggest drawbacks from this type of business is that I never want to be the type of person people avoid because they think I'm out to sell them something. This is where Active Rain comes in.

Today somebody had an off-topic post about a scam on Craig's List. I sent that link to a friend who was currently concerned he may be getting scammed on Craig's List. By posting that blog, the blogger helped me stay in touch with somebody without making me feel like I was bothering him. I was actually helping him. There's so much here off topic and real estate related that is going to help me reach out to people in the field who can use my services as a notary public document signing agent.

Good point - hadn't thought of sending relevant information from other bloggers!

I have done this as well.  I always try to get pertinent information to my friends and clients.  Regardless if it helps me or not.

Another idea - have the title companies forward you an email that tells of Monthly events going on in your area.  I then turn around and email my clients (once a month) of fun things they can do in and around town.  My clients love it and I stay if front of them!!

You're right, Dennis.  You've got stay stay in their face or in their ear or in their email, but your presence must be known as well as what your expertise is!

Thanks,

100% agree Nobody is going to know your profession unless you tell them and if you are not corresponding with a potential client I'm sure there will be somebody else doing so.

Great post! Loved all the comments as well. Good talking points. I've emailed links to a few friends as well and plan to continue to do so. I am learning a lot in this forum.
