In Texas we have a homestead tax exemption which is a tax exemption that saves you on your real estate taxes yearly. This exemption is for your primary home. You can access this form for free online at the county appraisal district for your county. And you can file this form for free. With that being said one of the best scams around is a form that is mailed out to you saying they will file it for you for $35. Not only is this company most likely not going to file it for you but also ripping you off of $35. I see too many people being ripped off with this so I wanted to write on this.
