We all know that Summerlin has been on the top of every “best master-planned community in the nation” list for the last twenty plus years with so many great neighborhoods to live in. Now Summerlin is also becoming an area for relocation of many businesses – both large and small.
Kevin T. Orrock, president of Summerlin for the Howard Hughes Corp, stated “The suburbs are the new city. Every year more professional services firms and major companies are choosing to put down roots in communities like Summerlin where employees have access to walking trials, golf courses and parks.” Orrock also pointed out that Downtown Summerlin offers access to all types of restaurants from quick service places to fine dining plus many retail stores which makes Summerlin an appealing place for businesses seeking a location outside the middle of the city.
Two major law firms will be moving to Downtown Summerlin – Ballard Spahr just moved in the top floor of One Summerlin and Greenberg Traurig LLP will be moving into Two Summerlin – the second office tower in the area.
The Regional Transportation Commission has opened a transit center near City National Arena – the practice facility for the Golden Knights and very close to the 51’s new field that will be completed next year.
Australian based Aristocrat Technologies Inc- a leading global provider of land-based and online gaming solutions will soon be calling Summerlin home. They plan to move around 600 employees to its new headquarters. Also Allegiant Airlines relocated to Summerlin with its corporate campus comprising of ten buildings.
