By
Real Estate Agent with Marin Realty Experts

Prices continued their upward trend in Q1 (Jan-Mar) with single family homes up 6% from the previous quarter and up 12% from the same quarter a year ago. Condo prices were up 5% from the previous quarter, and up 18% from a year ago. The largest increases were in some of the least expensive areas, with single family home up 21% from a year ago in Novato and up 12% in the Fairfax/San Geronimo area.

The median price of single family homes that sold was $1,324,420 and the median condo price was $674,000.

On average, homes sold for 2% over their list prices.

It remains a strong Sellers Market in homes priced under $1,500,000 and remains a Balanced Market for homes above that price.
