52 Saturdays - Week 15 - The Midlands Plant and Flower Festival

Midlands Plant and Flower Festival Columbia, SC  We all know that Spring has officially sprung and with temperatures here reaching into the early 80's today it truly feels like it. I don't know about anyone else, but when the temperatures start to climb the first thing I think about is sprucing up my yard and luckily we have an even right here in Columbia that can help out.

The Midlands Plant and Flower Festival in Columbia, SC is happening right now at the state farmer's market and it is well worth checking out, even if you may not be in the market for new plants, you can still get out of the house and have fun looking around.

Midlands Plant and Flower Festival in Columbia, SC There is no doubt about plants being the star of the show and there are every kind you can imagine, from tons of annuals and perennials, to fruit trees, brushes, and even carnivorous plants. Of course as always at the farmer's market there is a ton of fresh produce as well.

The Midlands Plant and Flower Festival is not however completely limited to just plants. There are tons of outdoor decor available, food trucks to sample, and even one company that I saw that installs koi ponds and had koi for sale at the festivals. So if you have some time on your hands, you may want to stop by the festival and check it out for yourself.

The South Carolina State Farmer's Market is located at 3483 Charleston Highway West Columbia, SC 29172

The Midlands Plant and Flower Festival 2018 is open today and tomorrow 8am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Admission and Park are free.

It is almost time to go the the flower auctions. So far I haven't prepped the ground or my pots. It is getting clsoe.

The right Charlotte REALTOR!

Oh, gorgeous shots and THANKFULLY spring finally sprung this week - and then the rains came today, JL! I'm sure you had the same storms passing through but, at least in our area, they were rather tame.

Your post reminds me that I have got to get to the garden shop this week - I need a shrub replacement, some veggies for my itty bitty garden and some spring annuals. My days are getting away from me with this crazy spring market and flowers have taken a back seat to clients!

Hope you have a fantastic week!
