Greetings, from your friends at Anthem Inspections!
Topic of the day:
Why a home inspection is important even for new construction.
Why should your clients consider having a new home inspected?

Construction on this home was completed in 2007.
We inspected the property in 2017.
A 14" hole was discovered in the distribution plenum for the heating and cooling system. Ten years heating and cooling the crawlspace! Can you imagine those utility bills?
BITS AND PIECES
Interesting facts from the world of home inspection:

One of the most common things in new construction that a home inspector will find is missing or removed cripple wall studs in the crawlspace. Very often they are removed by installers who need space to access various areas or room to maneuver their components into place for installation. These cripple studs should always be replaced, as they are part of the approved structural design of the home.
