We are fortunate to enjoy wonderful weather in Denver, despite what you may think. November through February we saw many days with 60+ degree days, and saw very little snow, some months - NONE! That sure scares us, as being so dry, makes for serious fire danger.

Over the last 4 months, we have seen more wind that ever before. We are pretty done with wind around here! Today we had between 60 and 90 mile an hour winds. Part of the roof of the Denver Center for Performing Arts flew off, and landed on a parked car. Fire danger was serious - and two homes burned to the ground, five homes near by were damaged. There was a fire in Sedalia, and roads were closed to homeowners. Even Denver International Airport shut down flights coming in and flying out for a time while the winds were at the worst.
The news had a port o potty moving down the street in a new construction neighborhood. Sure hope no one was in there!
On a lighter side - today was trash day in my neighborhood, and there was always something "flying by", and no wonder the trash truck was about two hours late. They were probably picking up trash "wandering the neighborhood". I know I personally picked up lots flying by.
We need more moisture to ensure these winds don't enable fire danger, and hope this weekend's moisture will help our drought!
