"Food Truck Fridays"

 

Visit the Forest Preserve District of Will County, either in person or online, and you'll quickly find out that the benefits and services offered by the Forest Preserve District go way beyond the trails, animals, preserves, and beauty to be found within its borders.

 

Residents and visitors to Will County, IL have access to over 21,000 acres of land/water on which boating, wildlife, camping, fishing, picnicking, educational programs ... dog parks, a variety of winter activities,  and even weddings ... can be enjoyed.  There is truly something for everyone to enjoy when visiting Will County's preserves.

One of the most popular programs offered through the Forest Preserve District of Will County ... "Food Truck Fridays" is returning once again for a second year beginning June 1st, 2018 ...

 

A variety of foods, including American, Brazilian, Mexican and Polish items (including a desert truck) will be offered throughout the summer at a variety of Forest Preserve sites.

 

This summer's schedule includes trucks serving in Hammel Woods, Prairie Bluff Preserve, Whalon Lake, and Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve.

I love Food Trucks even if I shouldn't!  They are one of the most popular parts of our Apple Blossom Festival in Wenatchee.

My backyard backed up to the Forest Preserves. My parents took me to the Forest Preserve every Sunday during summer months. I even got my first kiss while hiking in Thatcher Woods. 

Glad to see active participation in beautification efforts and functionality for Forest Preserves!

No wonder you have such fond memories of IL Forest Preserves, Patricia Feager ... you little dickens!!  But you're right.  People have a vision of IL being flat and open.  But we have many beautiful forests and preserves .. even in the Chicagoland area.  We're not all buildings and skyscrapers!

I LOVE food trucks !  We have a few scattered around and a few times a year there are "events" with every truck in town...will have to check the calendar to see when those are scheduled this year.
