San Diego is well known for many things, and the annual Smooth Jazz 98.1 Gaslamp Festival is one of the entertainment highlights.
The 33rd Annual Smooth Jazz 98.1 Gaslamp Festival is being held this coming Saturday, May 24 in San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter, THE place to go for dining and entertainment downtown.
The festival is always a mob scene, with a terrific line-up of headline artists, including
- George Benson
- Mindi Abair
- Nils
- Nick Colione
- Warren Hill
- Dave Koz.

In addition there are 27 live music venues in the district (see map link above). You must be 21 in order to attend.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased on-line or via telephone ($42 + $4 fee or $47 at the gate). Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. Rain or shine (but not much danger of rain in San Diego at this time of the year.
If you are in the San Diego (hey it's only about a 35 minute drive from Carlsbad), like smooth jazz, and enjoy a great outdoor street party, don't miss this year's festival.
Expect some traffic, lots of blocked streets and plenty of folks. No ticket, you won't get past the gates into the festival area
