Just read a another blog that reminds me of a story that happened to us earlier this year. I was 6 months pregnant putting out "Open House on Sunday" signs on a Sat. afternoon. That way passer byers could have some notice and hopefully stop by on Sunday. I put up about 12 signs on all the corners I could in the freezing cold November wind...the next day went to do the open house and my heart dropped into my stomach! Someone had stolen my signs! I have never had this happen before. I couldn't believe it-my eyes filled up with tears. Thank goodness I had like 3 signs in my car I could pop up and the bandits missed two on some lame corners so I moved those to busier corners. The sad part is...where one of my signs had been was another Realtor's sign. To this day I don't know did it or why they did it...maybe neighborhood kids thinking it was a funny prank? Maybe a neighbor in a bad mood? Or was it actually a fellow Realtor? It's really sad...I will never know. Has this ever happen to you? It broke my heart!

This happens all the time out here in Los Angeles. But people still put signs up. Some signs even have graffiti on them.

I had a builder's "super" take down my directional sign, throw it away, and put my American Flags (that were on it) in the garden of the sample home. And then called the police on me when I went to retrieve my property. AND-- I was selling my own home. I don't think I'll EVER recommend a buyer deal with them!

Our police take signs down if they are on right-of-ways. They put them in the dumpster behind the station. Sherry
