How to Get a Seller Thinking in a Brisk Market.
Southern Utah continues to be one of the fastest growing regions in the United States. My buyer clients have exhausted all possibilities of homes in their price range with the amenities they require.
Realizing I needed to get creative and think of a way to grab homeowners attention and to satisfy the buyers needs in the neighborhood of their choice. Moving quickly was most important to sustain their interest.
Creating a postcard that can be hung on doorknobs was just the thing to do. I took a photo of the area they held interest and designed a card with bright colors and a question to engage...Thinking of selling?
Copying them back to back on the office color copier on card stock, then cut them to size, 5.5 by 8.5, stapling a rubber band in the corner. Then I drove to the subdivision and attached them to door handles.
It afforded an opportunity to strike up a conversation with a gentleman who said if the price was right, he'd sell. I told him to talk to his wife and get back to me! It is amazing what can be done when needing to achieve set goals.
As a very hands-on agent, I will go to great lengths to help clients realize their home dreams. Postcards are a great way to put yourself in front of potential sellers and get them thinking of putting their home on the market too. If not now, then further down the road, right Barbara?
p.s. Always put a disclaimer on your marketing materials. Mine goes like this: This is not intended to interfere with an established real estate relationship but only to achieve my client goals.
