Is RED the new Stainless Steel???

While visiting Elite Appliance located at 4901 Alpha RD #300, in Dallas, TX, I confirmed the elegance of the color RED in kitchen appliances is just as beautiful in America as I saw in Switzerland and Italy in recent travels. For more information about Elite Appliance, click on the highlighed/underscored word Elite Appliance above and the link will follow directly to their Company website.

The color red was bold and beautiful. I was wowed immediately by a complete set up in the showcase floor room. There was just enough stainless steel to give me that "gourmet" feel so often used in MLS descriptive words that I find offensive in ordinary kitchens that don't seem to be representative of what a Gourmet Cook would have designed for their kitchen.

With a back row of Stainless Steel Stoves and Ventilation Hoods, the bold red Island set itself apart. Its brilliant features shined on the smooth and elegant curvatures without distracting what could be a fabulous open Family Room in a new home.

With high end built-in appliances Miele knows quality. I could almost taste the morning expresso in this bold and beautiful red kitchen's built in Expresso Machine. Another place where you can shop for Miele Appliances is at 1700 Lawn Avenue, Suite 200 in Dallas, Texas. This page contains the link for Miele directly by clicking on Miele.

For the person still partial to Stainless Steel, perhaps the RED Gourmet Stove would steal your heart, as it did mine. Although, I must admit, I would have to go back to school (in Italy) to learn all the functionality, it would be worth it.

Bertazzoni Professional Series Range PRO486GDFSAZ, 48" Freestanding Range with 6 sealed Griddle, Metal Knobs, Self Cleaning, Cast Iron Grates and one-hand ignition brought my love for Italy and Italian cooking back home to America for me personally.

Stay tuned for more exciting new Kitchen ideas...

Hannah Williams - Tomorrow I'll show you some blues! There are many beautiful new colors, including pastels. You and your daughter would have fun discovering the array of shiny new appliances that will brighten any kitchen. But red, stole the show for me!

I have red, front load washer and dryer, but I don't think I'd want red in my kitchen.

Hi Chris Ann Cleland - Red in the Kitchen isn't for everyone; however, I'm excited to see Kitchens come alive with new colors! The new safety features are very innovative and creative too. With updated kitchens, perhaps more people will be eating home cooked meals instead of take-outs at Fast Food restaurants. I love that we are being introduced to better choices.

Patricia I don't know how I feel about the color.  I guess it would grow on me the more kitchens I see it in.

Roy Kelley - I think Chef Dolores would enjoy preparing meals in this one. There were so many additional hidden features that were really inspiring. Kitchen appliances have come a long way since my mother's generation. I love new innovation when it is designed with purpose!

Love, love, love red, Patricia and have loved the red trend... the only problem is that we don't know at what point it will lose its luster in buyers' eyes. Next washer and dryer I buy will be red.

Nina Hollander - True! But I also noticed that by the time some people get on board and make the switch, it's time for something new. I think a red range with white cabinets and white countertops still looks sharp with Stainless Steel microwave and dishwasher too.

Hi Patricia... that's exactly right. I'd probably be inclined to use red as an accent (like the stove).

Can't help but see the red and think of a tool box.  It would look great in our corporate kitchen, but only because it matches the company colors : )

Patricia, it excites me to see something other than grays and stainless steel. I'll be looking for reds when I'm out touring homes. I really like the stove in your last picture. It's a statement piece.

Again, thank you!!!

It's good to have choices, but I think I'm favoring the newer brushed stainless that doesn't show fingerprints...

Hmm, I haven't really seen red appliances, but I have a couple of friends that always want some red in their kitchens, they would love this.

Hello Patricia - while red may not be appealing to everyone,  it's something that makes a statement.

Nice!  I know a few people who would love to have red kitchen appliances. I'll settle for any color as I'm not one of those who has to have everything all matchy matchy.
