Lunch at Baugher's Family Restaurant, Westminster, Maryland
Chef Dolores and traveled to Westminster, Maryland on Saturday morning to attend the Carroll County Farmers Market, a large indoor market. We decided to have lunch at Baugher's Family Restaurant, a well known local favorite. Click on the link to view the website.
Baugher's is much more than a regular restaurant. They have a bakery with some the best pies you have ever tasted and an ice cream bar with home made ice cream. They also have a fruit market with a nice selection of fruits, vegetables, baked goods and lots of snack items.
We shared a Turkey Burger Sub which was very good but our main reason for the lunch was to have pie and ice cream for dessert. I had a slice of cherry pie with sweet cherry ice cream and Chef Dolores opted for a slice of the blackberry pie with sweet cherry ice cream. Wonderful.
After lunch, Chef Dolores selected a box full of vegetables and two baskets of apples to take home. I've been enjoying her baked apples!
