2018 Chocolate Festival

It’s almost May which means it’s time for the San Diego Botanic Garden Chocolate Festival in Encinitas.
The 2018 festival will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018, the day before Mother‘s Day (notice how I slipped that little hint in!!) from 9 – 4:30.
You true chocoholics are thinking “wow, I could have chocolate for breakfast!!”
If you have any fondness for chocolate, how can you resist this event unless you are out of town? My wife and I attended with friends in the past, and it was amazing, and everything I could have hoped for!
You will be able to enjoy delicious tastings from numerous chocolate vendors (to name a few…Dallman Confections, Belgium Gourmet, Luisa Chocolatier, So Rich Chocolates, Yummy Cupcakes, David Bacco Chocolatier) with tasting tickets sold on-site at $1 per tasting ticket, with tastings typically requiring 1 – 3 tickets.

There will also be a tasty chocolate fountain, multiple children’s activities, and 10 vendors offering a range of gift including items for Mother’s Day.
A chocolate demonstration will take place in the Eucalyptus Grove at 11 am - not on how to eat it, silly, you KNOW how to do that – on “Mastering the Art of Toffee with Creativity.”
So get it on your calendar and get ready to taste your way to chocolate heaven at the San Diego Botanic Garden Chocolate Festival in Encinitas on Saturday May 12, 2018!! I doubt you will regret it…unless you overindulge (is that even POSSIBLE with chocolate??!).
Admission is free for Members (and children 2 and under); $14 for Adults; Seniors, students, active military are $10, with children ages 3-12 at $8. Parking is $2 (free for members).
