My buyers came in from Ohio with a very interesting story. They had been working with a local Realtor for about three months. They set up a time to fly in with the express purpose of buying a home.
With about a week to go before their visit, the Realtor stopped calling them back...NOTHING, no contact at all. They became frantic and called their brother (who lived locally). I had sold the brother's home for him a year or so earlier and he told my buyers to give me a call. It was now about 9:30 Friday night (yes, I answered my phone) and they were coming in Sunday morning!
I moved as much of my schedule as I could and we met Monday morning. We saw 33 homes in the three days I had available...and we hit the jackpot on the last one!
