Historic Time Travelers
Interact with live historic time traveler - look for them all along South Main Street. Weekends in May and June 2008 - Saturdays from 11 to 4 and Sundays from noon to 4.
These travelers will be dressed in clothes made by hand, lovingly copied from old museum pieces. The represent the French villagers and the American townsfolk who called St Charles home from 1790 to 1860 with respect and good humor. After all, it takes a lot of humor to live to be 200 years old.
Be on the lookout for the Windsor chair maker, Preacher Clifton, the Laundress, Captain Radcliff, the French trapper, an Irishman, a boatman, a Virginia merchant and the rope maker.
