Gator by the Bay Zydeco, Blues and Crawfish Festival

May 10 – 13, 2018 in San Diego

The very popular annual Gator by the Bay Zydeco, Blues and Crawfish Festival will be held Thursday May 10th through Sunday May 13th, Mother’s Day weekend, in San Diego!

Gator by the Bay Festival 2018 logoThe Gator by the Bay festival, presented by The Bon Temps Social Club of San Diego (with a number of other sponsors), offers something fun and different to do in San Diego with over 100 musical acts on 7 stages, 10,000 lbs of crawfish from Louisiana and so much more.

It will feel like you are in Louisiana at this 4-day festival experience!

Now in its 18th year, this “Mardi Gras-like festival in May” takes place at the Spanish Landing Park on San Diego Bay near Lindbergh Airport (West Basin at North Harbor Drive, across from Lindberg Airport’s Terminal 2).

Enjoy 4 days of zydeco, blues, salsa, Cajun, Rockabilly and more, with continuous music and a huge lineup of bands on 7 stages, along with dancing, cooking demonstrations, and truly tons of great Cajun and Creole food that will guarantee you a fun and delicious time.

Gator by the Bay 2018 tickets are reasonably priced, ranging from $20 to $95 depending on the event/concert/day. Or you can purchase 3 or 4 day passes at $110 or $140 ($115 and $150 at the gate). Parking is $15 - $20 depending on where you park, and shuttles are available.

Visit the Gator by the Bay website for more information or call 619-234-8612 for the details. If you can't get to New Orleans, Louisiana, this may be the next best thing right here in San Diego.

Jeff,

That event sure sounds like a lot of fun. I like the Louisiana twist without the humidity.  LOL A

Hi George Souto

We have been out of town or had other plans so I have not been yet. And I won't make it this year, either. But it sounds like lots of fun and I have heard good things about it.

Looks like a lot of fun. See the lineup it makes you remember how many great musicians are out there that do not play to stadiums and I prefer that.

Hi Joe Pryor

That's a good point. There are some fantastic musicians who don't play in the big stadium concerts, and are probably better suited to smaller venues.

This sounds like sensory pleasing event for the sights, sounds, and tastes. I loved visiting New Orleans some years back and can attest to the fabulous music and great food - though in San Diego, I'm sure this will be a great venue - as Alexandra says, without the humidity. D
