This last Saturday my family helped me celebrate a milestone birthday. Without telling you which birthday it was, let’s just say, I am officially older than the gods.
The event just happened to coincide with another great event - the Folsom’s Sutter Street “Sip and Stroll.” My youngest daughter, Jill, made certain I was coronated with my princess crown, sun glasses, and banner, to inform all other "Sip and Stroll" attendees of my special status. I had to reach deep inside my soul and park my dignity, to allow this to happen. My 17 year old granddaughter tagged along as our designated driver!
Historic Sutter Street in Folsom is lined with delightful shops, restaurants, and a great museum. My outrageous crown attracted attention of more than one flash mob who rushed to surround me for a photo op or two.
More than one broke out in song to that ole tune, “Happy Birthday.” They including about a dozen High School Senior Prom kids who were sharing pizza at Chicago Fire.
A little "flash mob" of strangers who shared this photo.
