I am usually just as happy when I am around cake. If I am not mistaking that is a Pokemon short, my children are obsessed with these creatures.

What did you do with the other half? Inquiring minds and I can't wait until Cooper is 6 months old and I can have a half cake for him.

Dorie Dillard He has grown so fast. I recently watched an adorable video of him when he was just starting to talk and it made me so emotional.
Joan Cox No, I didn't make the cake. Zack's mom (my daughter) did. She makes all her cakes from scratch and they are so good.
Maria Sapio It is a tradition his mommy started. She does it every year for both the kids.
Barbara Todaro I'm sure he could eat half a cake, but not this time. It's his half year b'day cake. His mommy makes them for kids every year.
Raymond E. Camp Hey, you only turn 8 1/2 once. LOL

Michael Jacobs The older we get, the less we want to celebrate getting any older. But, then there is cake.
Hannah Williams That is right. His mommy does this for the kids every year. A good excuse for cake!
Ron and Alexandra Seigel My daughter makes wonderful cakes...very creative and always from scratch...frosting too!
Sheila Anderson Thank you, but not my idea or my cake. The nut didn't fall from the tree though...it's my daughter who does this.
We are still working at the new house....very happy with how it is turning out! We are moving stuff every time we head over there and the real movers are coming on the 10th. We will be living there then. We just got our closing date of May 21 for the house we are selling.
Sheri Sperry - MCNE® AND....he and his sister are currently at Disney World. Lucky kids!

Kathy Streib I'm always happy to have cake! I haven't been to Brian's post yet. I will check it out.
Brian England It's him, but it's not his birthday. It's his half birthday. 8 1/2.
His mommy has half a cake for the kids on their half way point every year.
Myrl Jeffcoat I know! Right? I'm wishing I had some cake right now!

JL Boney, III yes it is and my grandbabies are all into Pokemon too.
Anna Banana Kruchten CRB, CRS, Broker Great idea....I can't take credit though. It's all his mommy's idea.
Tammy Lankford, No other half....just one layer cut in half and put on top of itself, I believe. My daughter bakes from scratch so she only makes enough for one layer. Of course you could always bake two layers and freeze one for another time.

Aw. Delightful in every way. Love how much you "get" the growing up quickly aspect of grandkids. We've got to celebrate every moment. D

Sally K. & David L. Hanson Only the half year milestone....in another 6 months it will be a whole cake. LOL
Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD I do get it and do what I can to enjoy every minute with them, but his mommy gets the credit for this idea.
Endre Barath, Jr. We celebrated my 60th this year, but prior to that it had been quite awhile since I did much celebrating.

Endre Barath, Jr. My children had a birthday brunch for me at a favorite restaurant. It really was nice....but I don't need any more big celebrations.
