Wordless Wednesday: Hanalei Valley Taro Fields on Kauai

I had seen a picture of the devastation there and I think that was the very spot that was flooded. It was beautiful and hopefully will be again soon.

I have always though living in a valley was a dreadful idea.  Great place to garden and grow things, but they do tend to flood after heavy rains.

Such a beautiful place!  I have not visited Hawaii in a very long time, but it is certainly a place that I want to visit again in the future!

Good morning Jeff. I have fond memories in Hawaai too. It is a very special place.

I grew up on my Grandfather's farm and spent plenty of time in fields, but none of them came with that kind of view.

I remember those fields well. You took a great pic to show them off.

Hi Jeff... I remember being in Princeville... it was a beautiful place.

Now that's a view! So pretty and serene. I could see where a flood would be devasting. I hope Mother Nature is good over there and life begins anew.

Weather is impacting all parts of the world negatively. These fields are beautiful to see but bet they have suffered from the two feet of rain.
