Good Jeff - I have been on some of those roads when I was with the restaurant company.  What is great about Southern California and the southwest in general is how the topography and weather are so varied.  It really is a treat to experience.

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm  I like the mid 80s the best, and it's rare to get hotter here except with the Santa Ana winds. We were in the desert one weekend a couple of summers ago and it was 117 - WAAAY to hot for me. I don't care that they say it's a dry heat. It still feels like an oven!

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful get-away, Jeff! I love that you stopped and took time to enjoy some photography...and, of course, time by the pool without the crowds!

I've never heard of May Gray - interesting and it does seem like a great time to venture off to the desert. I have been to Palm Desert & Palm Springs and could call either of those home if I wasn't so in love with Charlotte!
