Lunch at Fratelli's, Hampstead, Maryland
Chef Dolores and I were exploring the area around Hampstead, Maryland during a Saturday day trip and were looking for a good restaurant at lunchtime. We stopped at Fratelli's, an Italian and Seafood restaurant, and have discovered a new favorite. The food and the service were outstanding. Click on the link to view the website.
The lunch began with a large salad bowl and we agreed that it was the best salad we have tried in some time. They served a basket of hot rolls that were delicious as well. Dolores selected the Fettuccine Gypsy with fresh spinach, tomatoes. black olives, artichokes, mushrooms, olive oil and garlic sauteed in a white wine sauce. She was unable to finish the large serving.
I selected the Filet of Flounder Francaise lightly breaded flounder dipped in egg and grated parmesan cheese, sauteed in a lemon butter sauce with fresh pasta as a side. My beverage was Heavy Seas Loose Cannon IPA, an excellent Maryland beer.
Chef Dolores was impressed with the restaurant's pasts machine that provided you selection of fresh pasta in a few moments.
This is a good restaurant to try when you are in the area.
