In addition to being a Realtor I am also a mom, and I am always looking for fun activities to do with my kids. If you are like me and you like to do things outdoors that will bring lasting memories you shoudlc heck out some of these ideas.
Outdoor Activities:
Austin Steam Train Association - Located in Cedar Park just off of 1431. Call for a schedule of times. You can go on a train ride through the Hill Country (512) 447-8468.
Zilker Park Dinosaur Tracks - You can tour over 100 dinosaur tracks and see some 100 million year old turtle bones. Texas Botanical Gardens.
Kiddie Acres - Austin, Texas 4800 Howard Ln. Putt-Putt, carnival rides for small children, pony rides and a train. They have half price days and Grandparents day. There is a small snack bar. They allow birthday parties too. Call for more information: (512)255-4131

Children's Day Park: Wednesday Mornings all through June and July with the exception of July 2. Symphony Square at 11th and Red River. The venue has dancers, storytellers,magicians, mimes, arts, crafts,and a petting zoo.
Arts and Crafts:
Michaels Arts and Crafts Day: All Michaels Stores - Kids ages 5-12 10-10:30am, 10:20-11am and 11-11:30 am. every Saturday. It is free to 3.00
Museums:
Austin Childrens Museum: 201 Colorado St. Austin, Texas - Interactive activities call for more info. 512-472-2499.
Austin Museum of Art: 823 Congress Ave. Fun Interactive art projects for families.
