River Walk - An Ambitious Plan for Westchester - The View From Ichabod's Landing - Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591

RiverWalk is an ambitious plan to create a continuous trailway along the Hudson River from the border of Putnam county in the north and the New York City border in the south. Part of that plan was fulfilled with the high-end townhouse devleopment (to be reviewed later) called Ichabod's Landing in Sleepy Hollow, NY.  The development was completed in 2004 and includes a portion of the River Walk for the general public in its plan. I wandered down to the River Walk at Ichabod's Landing today.  It was a blustery and cold spring day and the wind from the river whipped around.  But I got the following photos which include a couple of views of the Tappan Zee Bridge that connects Westchester to Rockland County and the Kingsland Point Lighthouse.  Development of the River  Walk is on going in Tarrytown, NY the sister village to Sleepy Hollow.

Makes for a spectacular walk along the Hudson.  Haven't been down that way in awhile.  Thanks for the great pics, Ruthmarie.

All that sky and water! The views promise to be dramatic from dawn to dusk and in rain and shine.

Ruthmarie,

It sounds like it will be a very attractive and wonderful trail to visit....I love hiking and seeing new places.

Beautiful pics!! I didn't realize there was actually a place called Sleepy Hollow and a place called Ichabod's Landing...I thought that was only in the fairytale.
