Pay It Forward - Driver's License 

So here I am with my 'Pay It Forward' for this week.

This time, it's a small gesture but it could have been a very big concern.

I finished my shopping from the store and was next in line at cash register. Little busy re-arranging the items as well as coupons for those items, I needed an extra minute to present everything to the girl at cash register.

The customer next to me in line seemed to be in little rush. She looked at me and I could see that she was in rush and perhaps did not like to wait for me to get organized and spend few extra minutes at the cash register.

I realized that she was ready with her wallet(?) in her hand and had only couple of items to purchase. I was in no particular rush so I let her go ahead.

Thanking me, she went ahead with items and wallet in her hand and finished her transaction in just few seconds - and rushed to the door.

When I reached out to the cash register, still looking at my coupons, I saw something on the floor. Well, it was a driver's license - and it must be her license, I thought.

She was almost walking out of the store and I had to shout her - not knowing her name, I shouted 'Excuse Me...:'. Not enough loud I guess - so I had to imcrease the volume/tone/pitch. All of a sudden there were many eyes looking at me - and I did not know what to do!

Fortunately, she looked back - and as she realized that 'shout' was for her, hesitantly, she came back to register. I handed her driver's license and the only thing she could say 'Oh My God!'. I could read 'Thanks' in her eyes as she ran to her car. Perhaps someone was waiting for her.

At least now she had the right document to drive the car.
