Very elusive, Barbara Todaro! Last time I wa able to get close to one was back in 2006 or so. He surprised me by jumping out of the pot while I was watering!

Nice to see you here....

Good afternoon Gayle. I used to hate frogs but now I enjoy seeing them in my garden and pots too as long as they don't startle me. Love this one.

Oh, @Sheila I LOVE frogs! Can't tell you why. But...when they sing, it's heavenly! And I would love to know how they communicate in such a way that they all know how to stop at the exact same time.

Oh, that is one cute frog (if that's possible!), Gayle! Love the shot and I'm sure he's keeping your patio free of bugs!

Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Real Estate - What a cute frog! Back in IL I was invited to meet a group of volunteers at the pond in our local Forest Preserve to do frog monitoring and record them. I can't remember why I didn't make it, but I still wonder how it could have been, and still wonder, what did I miss?

Every time, I see a frog, I think of that lost opportunity. And of course, I think of Kermit too! Your photo is  just great!!!

Debe Maxwell, CRS I used to have a frog, lizards and anoles in the same case. I fed them live crickets, which aren't easy to find. When the frog would eat, his eyes would disappear and then pop back up again! It was the wildest thing. I had to give them away when we moved to Fishhawk Lake--too far to find live crickets for any length of time!

Kathy Streib he wasn't big at all! Not but about 2-2&1/2 inches lengthwise. And I wonder why people aren't fond of them. They're rather innocuous. They don't go after people, that I know of. I'm much more inclined to not be fond of ticks. Actually, it's one of the VERY few of God's creatures that I simply abhore.

Aw, froggy. Don't know if you remember the trip to Bend when we discovered a little tree frog had hitched a ride. Lol. He spent the weekend with us eating crickets until we could release him back to our patio garden. They are wonderful little creatures. Nice capture - and isn't it great that he posed for his photo? Cooperative and handsome.

Oh my gosh, I DO recall that hitchhiker, Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD! How in the world did you find crickets in Bend to keep him satiated?? I adore that story, a good ending, too.

He's a cute little frog but I hope he doesn't make too much noise.  We have to watch out for the Puerto Rican coqui frog with is very noisy and night and taking over in some areas.
