The Annual event for the Backcountry in Highlands Ranch, The Big Help! Is here finally. Members of the Highlands Ranch community will remember this event each year. Having operated in Highlands Ranch property management for years, we try to participate at least every other year. If you are familiar with the Backcountry of Highlands Ranch you understand that there is several hundreds of acres of wild life and brush throughout the southern most tip of Highlands Ranch. This wilderness spans miles south and operates as the southern most border of the city. With so many acres of trees and Backcountry Wilderness Area, there is a need for a volunteer effort to keep it in check. This is the biggest volunteer event of the year and The Big Help is presented by Good gift Remodeling Contractors. This will be this Saturday May 12, 2018 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. If you show up there at 10:00am sharp you can be greeted with a great sight. Everyone will be registering as individuals or groups. Groups can include scots, teams, family, friends, or biasness’s. You will email gus.brunger@hrcaonline.org to start any of this process. Once registers, you will be assigned a project and crew captain to guide your entire morning. These projects span from simple litter clean up, tree trimming, brush collection, shrub pruning, and any other unique projects that may show up. Many people in service have done this before and know exactly what areas may need care or precision during the day. There is something quite literally for everyone of any age or skill level. Some children do take fun out of carrying branches and collecting fallen shrubbery. Once the day concludes at noon the work gloves will come off and everyone will head back to the Backcountry Base Camp for a bring your own picnic party with Living the Dream Brewing Company and High Point Creamery’s Big Pinky ice cream truck.
