My peonies are blooming just in time for Mother's 
Day. The blooms are so heavy when that the bush leans over when the blooms start to open up.
I have cut some and put them in a crystal vase to enjoy.
It is sad that they only bloom once a season since they are so pretty.
I just mentioned on a blog the other day that I planted several peonies when I moved to our current home 4 years ago and they come up each year but have never bloomed.
I don't have a green thumb but these bloom their heads off for me JL Boney, III.

My Mother loved her peonies in the home I grew up in. They had this same color and with her roses and honeysuckle, her joy in life.

Oh, that is absolutely gorgeous, Sybil! I snapped a photo of some this week to post on my Speechless Sunday post tomorrow - they are so lovely this time of year.
