Gin Tasting: Nautical American Gin

 

On the way the the Kentlands community happy hour at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn, Chef Dolores and I stopped at Montgomery County's Darnestown Liquor and Wine store for one of their regular tasting events. We enjoyed sampling Nautical American Gin. Click on the link to visit their website.

It was interesting that the gin was served with Goslings Ginger Beer as the mixer. If you like ginger beer, you may wish to try this combination. We normally use ginger beer when making Dark 'n Stormy cocktails with Gosling's Black Seal Rum. We usually use the diet ginger beer to reduce the sugar content of the drinks.

Bike to Work Daybike
Celebrate bicycling as a clean & healthy way to commute during Bike to Work DayFriday, May 18. The City will host a morning Pit Stop from 7 to 9 a.m. at the corner of Great Seneca Hwy. and Orchard Ridge Dr. and an afternoon Pit Stop from 4 to 6 p.m. at Olde Towne Plaza. Register in advance then stop by for raffle prizes and giveaways. The event is coordinated by Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. Motorists, please keep an eye out for cyclists - there will be many more on our roadways on May 18.
