Homeownership is a necessity. At some point in your life, you have to move out of your parents' house and get a place of your own. It is in everyone's best interest but not without difficulty. In 2016, homeownership had hit a 50-year low -- an unpleasant occurrence. Today, America’s percentage of homeownership has been steadily climbing back up. The rate in the first quarter of 2018 was 64.2%, higher than last year’s 63.6%.
Homeownership is not just about necessity. It gives you and your family security, joy and tranquility. A family with a house they could call their own is the ''American Dream''.
