National Chocolate Chip Day is May 15!
You didn’t expect me to let this day pass, did you? There is a day that celebrates the wonderful, able-to- satisfy a- chocolate craving- little morsel and that is one day that I have to celebrate.
Ruth Wakefield...commit her name to your memory if you are a lover of all things chocolate chips, and especially the original Toll House Cookies. If you are interested, read how necessity being the mother of invention rang true in this instance.
I have a confession to make (and I have a feeling that some others reading this will know what I’m talking about) and that is that hidden in my pantry is always a bag of Nestle® Toll House® Morsels.
Sometimes they are used to make the actual cookie, and often they are used in other recipes. However, when that gotta-have-it-now chocolate craving hits, I know where the bag is. I do my best to find the dark chocolate morsels.
So, how will you celebrate this day?
Of course, you could always make the Original Toll House Cookies!
Or, you could try these 6 Different Ways to Use Chocolate Chips but careful if you want to melt chocolate. If you get the heat too high and it scorches it, you’ll have to throw it out.
You could also…
Drop them in your pancake batter
Sprinkle them on top of your ice cream
Add them to muffins
Put one in each dip in a waffle
There you go! I don’t know about you but I’m heading for my bag of chocolate chips!!!
