Are you wanting to be successful in anything?

Then take care of your diet and your mind.

Well what does that mean exactly and what steps can you begin to take to start doing it?

This is the easy part actually and here is what I did and what I do.

I have told my story of my cholesterol a few times. After getting the daylights scared out of me by finding out that my cholesterol was through the roof, I was forced into really paying attention to what I eat. Overall, my choices were simple. Have a heart attack and die or stop sticking potato chips in my face and be more disciplined.

My battles on my diet are won hour-by-hour. I pay attention to what I am eating hour-by-hour. I am actually on a roll now. It’s been 8 months now and I look at junk food differently and feel a thousand times better.

As far as the mind goes? Start every single day with a positive thought in your head. I post. I post positive thoughts on Facebook. No different actively not stuffing chips in my face, thinking positive is something which I actually put into my head. Like my diet and putting good stuff in my mouth, I simply put good stuff in my brain. Sound crazy? Not really. Try it.

As always, PM with questions and I will give you my best advice. Until then, let’s all have a great day!! It’s great to be alive!!

I agree with this one Barbara Todaro. It's that old accounting adage, "Junk In, Junk Out" (well you need to substitute a word there, twice). I believe that goes with your body and mind as well. Great refresher to remind everyone to take care of number 1, so you can ripple it down to the 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, & so-ons...

Very nice choice for a reblog.  I really enjoy eating healthier, the other day I had chips that were made from lentils and they were really good!

Hello Barbara,  Great reblog and one that makes sense.  I am getting into veggies and just meat for dinner, I am trying to drop 10 and no pasta for for the next 3 weeks.
